Dry Brushing Tips

DRY BRUSHING Winter Away  What better way to spring clean your skin from the harsh dry winter days. I am a big fan and my brush hangs right by my shower. Some say do it first thing in the morning before you shower, but any time works. Dry brushing has many health benefits and is well worth the 5-minute time investment. Start your morning by increasing circulation, treating cellulite, encouraging new cell renewal, draining the lymphatic system, treating ingrown hairs, exfoliating dead skin, and feeling good! See the diagram above for the brushing technique.  Head to my Amazon Products Page and purchase a dry brush here !

Tips on SPRING TRAINING for Health and Fitness

Spring it on! Let's shake off the long, cold days of winter and soak up the sunshine. Maybe you let your fitness slip during these colder months and put on a few pounds. Maybe you are suffering from snow fatigue and just can't find the energy to get moving. Don't be too hard on yourself. Start where you are. Ease into it. Just put something on your schedule this week, even if it's walking on your lunch hour. Update your podcast or playlist and grab your headphones while you do your abs. Time flys when you are listening to an interesting podcast that grabs your attention. Buy yourself a new pair of shoes or tights for some extra motivation. Once you wake up to the excitement of spring, it's time to set some well-defined goals and get you on a program again! A clear sense of direction and map to get to your goals is important. Investing in health and fitness with both time and money is an investment that pays you with more energy, power, and happiness. Investing wil

TRAIN LIKE JENNIFER ANISTON

Train like Jennifer Aniston Featuring my #1 training tip everyone should be doing. Last month, I wrote a blog about a different Jennifer’s choice concerning her training as she prepped for a movie role. Do you recall? The JLo 10 day challenge! Click  here  to read my take on it. While I’m not on board with the JLo quick fix method, I am totally on board with Jennifer Aniston’s training method, shared recently by her trainer,  Leyon Azubike. I was so happy to hear Leyon Azubike talk about his celebrity client,   Jen Aniston’s training program and how he uses periodization to organize her fitness schedule.  Boxing, strength training, jump roping, yoga. And yes, with her schedule she may hit a few 3 am workouts. That falls under HARDCORE and dedicated. The media made such a fuss about the 3 am workouts. Celebrities get lots of attention when they seem to be aging well. Everyone wants to have what they’re having. It takes work to look that good, people! Even with a few
